Job Description
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Ideally 3-5 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Candidates with less experience or fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome to apply, provided they are willing to learn quickly and take initiative.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Able to source materials, obtain quotations, compare prices and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and suitable commercial terms.
- Able to prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on orders, deliveries and outstanding items.
- Able to coordinate closely with project/site teams to understand material and manpower requirements and delivery schedules.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and enquiries simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling quotations, purchase orders, invoices and other procurement documentation.
- Able to perform general administrative duties and assist with documentation and coordination when required.
- Independent, responsible and hands-on, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work in a small and fast-paced company environment, where the role may cover both procurement and general administration.
- Singaporean / PR preferred.
Key Responsibilities - Source and purchase construction materials, tools, equipment and other items required for projects.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and maintain proper procurement records.
- Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules and outstanding items.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, QS and site personnel on purchasing requirements.
- Monitor material requirements and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Liaise with existing suppliers and develop new supplier relationships where required.
- Check purchase invoices against Purchase Orders and delivery records.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of procurement records.
- Assist with general administrative and coordination duties within the company.
- Undertake other procurement or administrative tasks as required.
