Job Summary
A leading global investment management group seeks a Compliance Manager to lead risk-based compliance monitoring and advisory within its Singapore compliance function, driving regulatory adherence and fostering a strong compliance culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear, actionable guidance to business units on group policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives to ensure consistent regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, to address compliance matters and support regulatory examinations
- Execute risk-based compliance monitoring and testing for regulated entities, including REIT managers, to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Identify regulatory gaps and compliance issues, and develop and propose effective corrective measures to senior management
- Track and interpret regulatory developments, supporting the timely implementation of new rules and policy changes across the organization
- Oversee the administration, periodic review, and continuous enhancement of compliance policies and procedures to maintain regulatory alignment
- Lead and contribute to ad-hoc compliance projects and assignments that support business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Design and deliver compliance training programs to employees, promoting awareness and embedding a strong compliance culture throughout the organization
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and regulatory trends to proactively advise the business and adapt compliance strategies
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience within a global asset management or financial services
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with resourcefulness and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
