A leading US MNC in the manufacturing, distribution, and trading sector is seeking a Regional Finance Director to lead its finance operations across Asia (excluding China and Japan). This strategic role offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
The Role
Reporting to the APAC CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions across the region, including
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Taxation & Compliance
- Cashflow Management
- Internal Controls & Governance
- FP&A and Strategic Business Partnering
- Lead regional finance teams and foster a culture of performance and accountability
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support business growth and cost efficiency
- Drive ERP system optimization (preferably JD Edwards) for reporting and analytics
- Set up and manage legal entities across the region
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance across jurisdictions
Your Profile
As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience
- Approximately 15 years of experience in the full spectrum of Finance & Accounting
- Strong background in manufacturing, trading, or distribution environments
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and regional finance management
- Experience with ERP systems JD Edwards preferred
- Solid understanding of costing and cost control mechanisms
- Proven experience in setting up legal entities across Asia
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Mature, confident, and energetic with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Travel up to 50% to Malaysia if the role is based in Singapore
