Senior Manager, Trading (Metals)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage lithium trading activities (physical and derivatives)
• Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of the trading team
• Develop and implement trading strategies and sales initiatives
• Work closely with internal teams (operations, legal, finance) and external counterparties
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, suppliers, and trading structures
• Manage risk exposure, including market, credit, and counterparty risks
• Oversee hedge positions, P&L monitoring, and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Drive market intelligence efforts, including supply/demand analysis and industry insights
• Prepare budgets, reports, and support strategic planning initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in commodities trading (physical and/or derivatives), preferably metals
• Proven experience in team leadership and stakeholder management
• Strong understanding of risk management, derivatives, and financial modelling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain industry relationships
