About the Role

We are partnering with a leading regional securities broking house that hiring for an experienced credit professional to support its APAC credit investing strategy.

This role is designed for a hands-on credit leader who will work closely with the Head of Regional Credit and a team of credit analysts, contributing to credit evaluation, deal structuring, approvals, portfolio oversight and team leadership. The deals includes senior secured, mezzanine, and structured / asset-backed transactions across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and execute private credit and special situations investments across APAC
  • Perform detailed credit analysis, financial modelling, and due diligence on listed and non-listed companies
  • Structure and negotiate transactions across: Senior secured lending Mezzanine financing Structured / asset-backed credit Cash flow-based financing
  • Assess downside protection, collateral structures, and recovery scenarios
  • Prepare and present investment memoranda to internal investment committees
  • Work closely with legal, restructuring, and portfolio teams through deal lifecycle
  • Monitor investments with a focus on value protection and performance optimisation

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in: Private credit / direct lending Special situations / opportunistic credit Leveraged finance (buy-side or strong investing seat)
  • Proven experience in structuring and evaluating complex credit transactions, including collateralised and bespoke financings.
  • Experience investing across: Senior secured Mezzanine Structured or asset-backed credit
  • Strong understanding of: Financial statements and credit fundamentals Capital structures and covenant frameworks Downside protection and recovery analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in APAC transactions, particularly: Greater China & Southeast Asia would be added advantage
