Position Summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems delivers mission-critical solutions across power generation, marine, energy, and industrial applications, including diesel and gas engines, hybrid systems, and distributed energy systems.

We are seeking a Senior Manager Procurement Direct APAC to lead strategic direct procurement activities across a complex regional supply base supporting engine systems, power generation equipment, industrial solutions, and critical components.

This role operates at both strategic and operational levels, driving procurement excellence through sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, cost optimization, supply continuity, and risk mitigation across Singapore and the broader APAC region, with focus on supporting initiatives and regional business expansion.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring procurement alignment with business objectives, supporting operational performance, enabling supplier capability development, and strengthening regional supply chain resilience in environments where reliability, safety, quality, and delivery performance are critical.

What You Will Be Doing

Regional Procurement Leadership

  • Define and execute APAC direct procurement strategies aligned with global procurement standards and business objectives
  • Lead sourcing activities, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and commercial management across direct material categories
  • Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for procurement performance and supplier management

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships to support long-term operational and business objectives
  • Drive supplier capability improvement across manufacturing and engineering supply chains including machining, casting, fabrication, assembly, and electrical systems
  • Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, onboarding, and performance review processes
  • Manage supplier performance through structured scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cost Optimization & Business Support

  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities, value engineering initiatives, and procurement efficiencies
  • Support inventory optimization and working capital improvement initiatives while maintaining operational continuity
  • Ensure procurement activities support timely project execution and production requirements across the APAC region
  • Support localization and regional growth initiatives aligned to GC3 objectives

Supplier Risk & Recovery

  • Identify high-risk suppliers and develop mitigation and recovery plans to stabilize supply continuity, delivery, and commercial performance
  • Support escalation management across the supply chain to minimize operational disruption
  • Monitor market conditions, supply chain risks, geopolitical developments, and supplier capacity challenges

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Project teams on procurement planning and supplier management
  • Provide commercial and supply chain insights to support sourcing decisions and operational strategies
  • Act as the APAC interface for global procurement initiatives and transformation programs

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop procurement capability across the APAC region
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and continuous improvement culture
  • Support procurement transformation and digitalization initiatives including ERP and process enhancement programs

Position Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • 8-10 years experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain leadership within industrial or engineering environments
  • Experience working with products or systems such as:
  • Power generation equipment
  • Diesel or gas engines
  • Generator sets or distributes energy systems
  • Heavy industrial or mechanical equipment
  • Proven track record in:
    • Strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
    • Supplier relationship management and performance improvement
    • Cost optimization and procurement transformation initiatives
    • Managing procurement risks and supply continuity challenges
    • Working with cross-functional stakeholders in complex operational environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Direct procurement and supply chain management principles
    • Supplier performance management methodologies
    • Manufacturing and engineering supply chains
    • ERP systems such as SAP
    • Commercial contracts and procurement governance
  • Experience working across multiple markets in APAC is advantageous
  • Experience gained in industries such as power generation, energy systems, heavy equipment, marine, industrial manufacturing, automotive, or related engineering sectors will be advantageous. Equivalent experience in other relevant engineering or manufacturing sectors will also be considered.
