Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Operations will lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence, capacity optimization, and business growth within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Business Units to execute high-impact programs aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and drive mid- to long-term operational strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Translate business goals into actionable roadmaps, KPIs, and execution plans.
- Support site and global leadership in capacity planning, cost optimization, and footprint strategy.
- Program & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional projects (e.g., capacity ramp, new product introduction (NPI), site transfers, automation initiatives).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, with clear governance and risk management.
- Establish standardized project management frameworks and best practices.
- Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Identify process gaps and implement solutions to improve cycle time, yield, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor key operational metrics and drive corrective actions where needed.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR to align priorities and execution.
- Act as a key interface between business units and site operations to ensure seamless communication and delivery.
- Data & Analytics
- Leverage data analytics to provide insights for decision-making and performance improvement.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track project and operational performance.
- Talent & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers or analysts (if applicable).Influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across global and regional teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 8-12+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industry, with strong exposure to operations and project management.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, cross-functional projects (e.g., fab ramp-up, NPI, automation).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
