S/he is responsible to facilitate the overall in-country HR processes and people programs. Some of the specific areas of focus are as listed but not limited to:
1) HR Operational & Support
2) Shared Services Support & Delivery
3) Effective Performance Management
4) Employee Engagement
In addition, incumbent needs to be passionate about the latest HR / Talent movement trend in the marketplace, keep-abreast with the latest HR legal requirement related to the day-to-day management of HR Capital, ensuring regulatory compliances, and reducing unnecessary legal /risk to the company and business.
HR Operational & Support
i. Provide overall HR policy guidance and interpretation at workplace
ii. Provides day-to-day HR Operational supports like performance management guidance to line managers and employees.
iii. Analyses trends and metrics of employee movement and work with the center-wide HR group to formulate necessary retention programs and policies for the business unit
iv. Facilitate and assist international employees / foreign hires in relation to in country HR matters and regulation
Shared Services Support & Delivery
Provide HR Operational and people services for both Malaysia & Singapore which includes:
i. Accurate and timely monthly payroll and statutory deduction.
ii. Administer benefits enrolment and deletion with benefits providers i.e., group insurance, outpatient panels.
iii. Managing people service /transaction data in relation to employee's movement i.e., confirmation, promotion, adjustment, resignation, offboarding etc.
iv. Responsible to ensure necessary documentation is updated for any complex employment relation matters.
v. Provide regular reporting for analysis.
Performance & Rewards
Work with Corporate Performance and Rewards Lead to:
i. Maintain competitiveness through the market analysis of pay structure and compensation mix.
ii. Manage the mobility & expat programs i.e., policies & packages, to ensure optimum results for the business.
iii. Manage company-wide annual salary planning and appraisal process in a timely and objective manner.
iv. Manage the group-wide total rewards and recognition plan with necessary localization.
Employees Engagement
i. Support the country along side with HR Leadership to develop an overall engagement strategy to ensure employees are well engaged at all levels through company-wide programs.
ii. Implement the HR Programs by Corporate HR, while localized when necessary, according to the local /in-country needs
iii. Support the local country leadership in organizing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for the positive brand presence amongst the industries.
