Responsibilities
The incumbent shall be the lead for the Accounting team responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage a team of local and overseas accountants and accounts executives; providing guidance, support and mentorship.
- Involve in passing of general journals and reconciliations; and preparation of audit schedules for company and subsidiary entities.
- Ensure documentations are properly maintained to handle external audit requirements.
- Prepare financial reporting and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Review and ensure compliance with Singapore tax and GST regulations.
- Ensure accounts are prepared in compliance with SFRS and IRAS regulations.
- Review team members work to ensure validity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency of accounting work.
- Collaborate with internal teams for internal controls, e.g. stocktake, etc.
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or its equivalent
- Must have minimum 3 years of Audit experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- Some supervisory experience is required
- Organized and resourceful
- Hands-on, meticulous and able to work independently
- Positive working attitude with strong sense of responsibility
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Knowledge of MYOB accounting software is an advantage
- Some minimal travelling may be required
