We are looking for a proactive and experienced Regional Assistant Service Manager to oversee critical infrastructure maintenance across multiple data center sites. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring seamless operations, rapid response to emergencies, and effective coordination with contractors and stakeholders. You will play a key part in safeguarding uptime and reliability across regional facilities.
Job Description & Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Manage quotations for maintenance contracts, as well as troubleshooting and repair works for UPS systems, CRAC units, and other critical infrastructure across various data center locations.
Lead and supervise a team of technicians to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Respond promptly to emergency requests to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Liaise with contractors for rectification and ad-hoc works, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
Track maintenance activities, maintain accurate checklists, schedules, and reports.
Lead technical investigations for rectification works, ensuring proper resolution of issues.
Review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) to ensure safe execution of work.
Be available for 24/7 standby duty to address urgent service needs.
Regional Travel Requirement:
Regular travel to Johor Bahru, Batam, Jakarta, and Thailand to support service delivery and oversee operations.
Requirements:
Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline (degree preferred).
3-5 years of experience in data center or critical facility operations, including hands-on experience with UPS, CRAC, and building monitoring systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proven experience in leading technical teams and coordinating with contractors and vendors.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
Proficiency in maintenance tracking and reporting tools familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a dynamic and mobile environment, with flexibility to respond to emergencies and travel between sites.
Class 3 driving license (or equivalent) is advantageous for rapid response.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
