Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of project life cycle from pre-tender to post-contract stages.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, cost estimates, and project budgeting.
- Perform quantity take-offs and measurements for construction projects.
- Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers, specialists, and subcontractors.
- Conduct price comparisons and prepare detailed costing summaries.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors, including awarding of subcontracts.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and ensure cost control throughout the project.
- Prepare and submit progress claims, assess progress payments, and handle final account settlements.
- Liaise with consultants, architects, developers, and contractors on claims certification and project matters.
- Attend tender interviews, site show-rounds, and project meetings as required.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in the construction industry (preferably in wet trade works).
- Strong knowledge of construction cost management, contract administration, and tendering processes.
- Proficient in quantity take-off, cost estimation, and project costing.
- Good negotiation and communication skills when dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Proficient in Mandarin and English to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers/subcontractors.
