Job Summary
Lead cross-functional teams to manage new product introduction projects, collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver new product introduction projects on schedule and within scope
- Collaborate with R&D and Design Engineers to review product designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) to optimize production processes
- Define and manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones using project management tools to ensure project progress
- Verify accuracy and completeness of product BOMs, routings, and process documentation to support manufacturing readiness
- Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical and process issues efficiently
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and support On-Site Buyoff (SAT) at customer locations to validate product compliance
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer engineers to serve as the technical interface for issue resolution
- Track project milestones, report progress regularly, and escalate issues to stakeholders to maintain transparency
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and improve quality
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical application engineering, design, or technical support
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D), schematics, and technical specifications
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to achieve project goals
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills to manage complex projects effectively
