Procurement Execution Engineer
Job Summary
Support production material purchasing and ensure smooth supply chain operations by managing order execution, coordinating with suppliers, controlling inventory, and monitoring delivery performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities including placing orders, following up on deliveries, and processing payments to ensure timely material availability
- Transmit accurate material demand forecasts based on the master production schedule and daily production plan to align procurement with production needs
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through rational control to prevent shortages and excess stock
- Collect and analyze supplier delivery data to monitor and improve supplier delivery performance
- Identify and handle non-conforming and slow-moving materials promptly to minimize production disruptions and inventory costs
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers to coordinate procurement and resolve issues
- Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP systems to manage procurement data and reporting
- Adapt to business travel requirements to support supplier and stakeholder engagement as needed
Required competencies and certifications
- Fluent English communication skills for effective coordination and reporting
- Chinese language proficiency for communication with headquarters and suppliers, specifically for internal and supplier interactions
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Machinery, Materials, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years procurement experience in production or manufacturing environments
- Experience with SAP, SRM, or PLM systems to enhance procurement process efficiency
- Strong responsibility, learning ability, and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships and procurement challenges
