Job Description

About The Role:
A Single-Family Office in Singapore is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to oversee a diversified multi-asset portfolio exceeding $80 million. As the family's wealth continues to grow, they are looking for a seasoned professional to take full ownership of the investment function and act as a trusted advisor to the Principal.

This is a principal-facing, high-impact role that requires both the rigour of buy-side portfolio construction and the market connectivity of sell-side experience. The ideal candidate is a self-driven investment professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy, building strong relationships with the principal and external partners, and managing a complex, multi-asset book with precision and conviction.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management & Strategic Asset Allocation

  • Take full ownership of a multi-asset portfolio exceeding $80 million, covering public / private equities, fixed income, and mutual funds
  • Develop and implement a long-term strategic asset allocation framework aligned with the family's financial goals, risk tolerance, and return objectives
  • Monitor and rebalance the asset mix in response to evolving market conditions, macro-economic trends, and the family's changing wealth priorities
  • Oversee liquidity management and cash deployment strategies across the portfolio to ensure optimal capital efficiency

Investment Research & Manager Selection

  • Conduct rigorous fundamental and quantitative analysis across equities, bonds, and fund strategies to identify investment opportunities and manage downside risk

  • Leverage buy-side investment discipline alongside sell-side market intelligence to generate differentiated investment insights and portfolio edge

  • Evaluate, select, and perform ongoing due diligence on external fund managers and third-party investment mandates, ensuring alignment with the family office's investment philosophy

  • Source new investment ideas and deal flow through established market networks and industry relationships

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare consolidated portfolio performance reports, investment updates, and risk dashboards for the principal and key family stakeholders

  • Present investment recommendations, market outlooks, and risk assessments in a structured and decisive manner to support principal-level decision-making

  • Serve as a trusted and proactive advisor to the principal, maintaining regular and transparent communication on all portfolio matters

Relationship & Operational Management

  • Build and manage relationships with external advisors, fund managers, custodians, private banks, and brokers

  • Support compliance and governance matters in line with MAS regulatory requirements applicable to the family office structure
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of investment processes, reporting systems, and operational workflows within the family office

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • CFA charterholder or equivalent professional designation is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of investment experience, with a demonstrated track record managing portfolios of $80 million and above
  • Have exposure across both buy-side and sell-side roles
  • Proven hands-on experience across multiple asset classes including public / private equities, fixed income/bonds, and mutual funds
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and portfolio management principles
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, including financial modelling, risk assessment, and asset allocation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex investment ideas clearly to various stakeholders
  • Proven track record in managing investment portfolios and delivering consistent performance
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, particularly given the confidential nature of family office environments
