Physiotherapist (Mid-Level)

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities.

The role involves assessing patients, developing personalised rehabilitation plans, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to support recovery and improve mobility and functional independence. The physiotherapist will also collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and support continuous improvement of rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload including post-operative, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised rehabilitation plans.

• Adapt treatment strategies based on clinical judgement and patient progress.

• Monitor patient outcomes and update treatment plans accordingly.

• Perform regular reassessments and provide progress updates.

• Support discharge planning and transition of care where required.

Care Planning & Documentation

• Conduct initial assessments and periodic reassessments.

• Establish and review rehabilitation goals with patients.

• Document treatment plans, progress updates, and clinical notes accurately.

• Maintain proper clinical records in accordance with organisational standards.

Collaboration & Team Support

• Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver integrated care.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior therapists, therapy assistants, or students where required.

• Participate in departmental initiatives and service development projects.

• Assist with cross-coverage to ensure continuity of patient care.

Quality & Professional Development

• Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and professional learning activities.

• Support incident reporting and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assist in collecting statistical data for clinical reporting and service evaluation.

• Stay updated with current healthcare developments and rehabilitation practices.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy recognised by the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).

Professional Registration

• Registered with AHPC with a valid practising certificate.

• Valid BCLS + AED certification.

Experience

• Preferably 3-6 years of relevant physiotherapy experience in a hospital, rehabilitation centre, or nursing home environment.

• Experience in community care or aged care settings would be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical decision-making and patient engagement skills.

• Ability to develop customised rehabilitation plans for different patient populations.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Good organisational and documentation skills.

• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems).
