Job Summary
This role focuses on strengthening global digital connectivity by managing and developing international telecommunications infrastructure, including submarine cables, landing stations, and cross-border connectivity. You will operate at the intersection of infrastructure strategy, policy, and industry engagement, ensuring resilient, secure, and future-ready connectivity networks.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical, Information Systems, or related disciplines;
- 2–8+ years of experience in one or more areas, including telecommunications/network infrastructure, infrastructure planning or project management, and policy or regulatory work within the infocomm domain;
- Strong understanding of telecom networks and submarine cable systems, the broader connectivity ecosystem (including ISPs, carriers, and IXPs);
- Proven stakeholder management experience, engaging effectively with both local and international stakeholders;
- Strong project management capabilities with ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver effectively.
Desired Skill-set
- Experience in submarine cable projects;
- Experience in data centres or connectivity hubs;
- Experience working in regulatory or policy environments, with an understanding of global telecom market dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for international connectivity, including submarine cables, landing stations, and cross-border links;
- Identify infrastructure gaps and forecast future connectivity demand;
- Engage global telecom operators, cable consortia, and investors;
- Support investment facilitation to strengthen Singapore's connectivity hub position;
- Contribute to telecom connectivity policies and regulatory frameworks;
- Align initiatives with national digital infrastructure strategies;
- Support project execution by tracking milestones, risks, and stakeholder coordination;
- Conduct market research, benchmark global hubs, and assess connectivity trends and resilience.
