Our operations span production, distribution, and logistics in compliance with international food safety and regulatory standards. We are seeking a dynamic Logistics Manager to lead and optimize our logistics strategy in Singapore and overseas markets, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all logistics functions, including import/export operations, transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, distribution, and compliance with global logistics regulations and Singapore-specific laws. This role also ensures adherence to FSSC 22000 requirements and supports internal food safety and quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations

. Lead end-to-end logistics planning and execution for inbound and outbound freight.

. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.

. Optimize transportation routes, cost structures, and delivery performance metrics.

. Coordinate warehousing activities, inventory movement, storage, handling, and accuracy.

. Oversee logistics documentation including bills of lading, airway bills, packing lists, freight invoices, and certificates of origin.

Regulatory Compliance

. Ensure compliance with Singapore logistics regulations, including but not limited to:

o Singapore Customs requirements (Tariffs, HS Codes, permits, duty exemptions)

o Import/export licensing and regulations

o Controlled goods reporting and hazardous materials handling

. Maintain knowledge and adherence to global logistics regulations, such as:

o Incoterms

o IATA/IMDG for air and sea transportation of hazardous materials

. Ensure compliance with trade, export control, and sanctions requirements.

FSSC 22000 and Food Safety

. Implement and maintain logistics processes that comply with FSSC 22000 standards and internal food safety requirements.

. Work with Quality Management to ensure logistics controls meet food safety, traceability, and hygienic handling requirements.

. Support internal and external audits related to logistics and supply chain.

Risk Management

. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including delays, compliance gaps, and cost volatility.

. Develop contingency plans for disruptions (e.g., port closures, customs issues).

. Monitor and enforce logistics safety standards across the operation.

Performance & Reporting

. Establish KPIs and performance metrics for logistics.

. Provide regular reporting on logistics performance, costs, compliance issues, and continuous improvement efforts.

. Drive logistics cost optimization initiatives without compromising service levels.

Team Leadership

. Lead and mentor logistics staff.

. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Sales.

Required Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.

. Minimum 7 years of logistics experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity preferably in food, ingredients, or manufacturing sectors.

. Proven knowledge of global logistics regulations (Incoterms, IATA/IMDG, compliance).

. Strong understanding of Singapore customs, import/export laws, and trade compliance.

. Experience with FSSC 22000 or other food safety certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000).

. Proficiency with ERP/WMS/TMS systems.

. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

. Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

. Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

. Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics .

. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
