Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Packaging Review & Compliance - 15%
- Review and approve export packaging plans submitted by domestic equipment manufacturers (e.g., electrical systems, HVAC equipment, generators, containers).
- Ensure packaging complies with international shipping standards, project specifications, and destination country regulations.
- Verify protection measures for sea freight (e.g., moisture-proofing, anti-corrosion, shock resistance).
2. End-to-End Logistics Management - 25%
- Manage the full logistics lifecycle from factory dispatch in China to delivery at overseas project sites.
- Coordinate multimodal transportation (land, sea, and last-mile delivery).
- Monitor shipment schedules, ensure on-time delivery, and proactively mitigate risks (e.g., delays, damages, customs issues).
3. Freight Forwarder & Vendor Management - 15%
- Supervise and manage third-party logistics providers (freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport companies).
- Evaluate vendor performance based on cost, service quality, and delivery reliability.
- Lead regular performance reviews and enforce contractual obligations and KPIs.
4. Supply Chain SOP Development - 15%
- Develop, standardize, and continuously optimize SOPs for supply chain and logistics operations.
- Establish clear workflows covering packaging, transportation, customs clearance, and site delivery.
- Ensure SOP alignment with EPC project execution requirements.
5. Continuous Improvement & Issue Resolution - 15%
- Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in logistics operations.
- Collect and analyze logistics performance data and incident reports.
- Drive suppliers and logistics partners to implement corrective actions and preventive measures (short-term and long-term).
- Promote continuous improvement culture across the supply chain.
6. Cross-functional Coordination - 15%
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, project management, and site teams to align delivery schedules and technical requirements.
- Support project planning with accurate logistics timelines and cost estimations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management. Experience in overseas EPC projects is highly preferred. Prior experience working in or managing freight forwarding companies is a strong advantage.
- Certifications/Licenses: Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management is preferred, such as: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) - APICS , Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) - APICS, Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or equivalent. Knowledge or certification related to international trade compliance and Incoterms is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of international logistics processes (export/import, Incoterms, customs clearance). Familiarity with packaging standards for large-scale industrial or data centre equipment. Proficient in English (spoken and written) for business communication.
- Traits & Behaviours: Strong coordination and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors. Data-driven mindset with continuous improvement focus.
