Junior Data EngineerAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to support our data team in building and maintaining reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. This role provides hands-on experience with modern data technologies and offers the opportunity to grow into a more senior data engineering position.
Key Responsibilities1. Data Pipeline Development- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data.
- Support automation of data workflows to ensure timely availability for analytics and reporting.
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
2. Data Quality & Management- Monitor, clean, and validate data to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other teams to troubleshoot data issues.
- Assist in implementing best practices for data governance.
3. Database & Cloud Support- Support the maintenance of databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Learn and apply principles of database design, indexing, and query optimization.
4. Documentation & Collaboration- Document data workflows, pipelines, and processes for internal use.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support analytics projects.
- Contribute to improving team processes and data engineering best practices.
RequirementsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience- 02 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related role (internships are acceptable).
- Basic proficiency in SQL.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or Scala is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is advantageous.
