Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager will lead the design and execution of performance and development systems across multiple preschool centres. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will align HR strategies with business goals, drive talent management frameworks, and ensure compliance with employment laws to foster a high-performance, employee-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organisation's overall business objectives to drive workforce effectiveness
  • Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues by addressing demands, grievances, and conflicts to maintain a collaborative work environment
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes, including drafting offer letters, contracts, and employment condition updates to ensure smooth talent acquisition and integration
  • Design, implement, and monitor HR systems, policies, and procedures across multiple kindergarten and childcare centres to support operational consistency and compliance
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook to reflect current policies and best practices
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage leavers processes to capture insights and ensure proper offboarding
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system aligned with ECDA's skills framework to drive employee development and organisational growth
  • Manage payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely compensation processing
  • Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, and monitor their effectiveness to enhance employee skills and performance
  • Promote the organisation's image in alignment with its ethos and values to strengthen community and stakeholder relations
  • Generate and present HR metrics and reports to management to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and regulations to mitigate organisational risk
  • Stay current with developments in employment legislation and HR best practices to continuously improve HR functions
  • Perform routine and special HR duties as required to support organisational needs
