Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing security team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization's digital infrastructure by identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security incidents, and responding to threats. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for any suspicious activities or potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses on systems, networks, and applications.
- Respond to security incidents and breaches, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Assist in the implementation and management of security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design, implement, and enforce security policies and controls.
- Provide security awareness training to employees on best practices for data protection and threat avoidance.
- Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Perform regular security audits and assessments to ensure systems remain compliant with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Assist in the creation of incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies.
- Generate and maintain detailed security reports for management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles (internships or entry-level experience may also be considered).
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Familiarity with common security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint protection, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
- Knowledge of security protocols and encryption methods (e.g., SSL/TLS, IPsec).
- Basic experience with penetration testing or vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS, Nmap).
- Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation or incident response tasks.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and their security configurations.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident detection tools.
