Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and defending our organization's systems and networks against cyber threats. You will play a key part in maintaining the security of our IT infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network traffic, servers, and systems for signs of malicious activity, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents and analyze the impact, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate response efforts to mitigate risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks and weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Implement and maintain security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection software).
- Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies to safeguard the organization's data and information systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Provide support for security audits and recommend improvements based on findings.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote safe practices and raise awareness of security risks.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure the secure deployment and configuration of systems and applications.
- Analyze and track security threats and vulnerabilities by staying up-to-date on the latest trends, attack vectors, and threat intelligence.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in cyber security or IT security roles (internships or entry-level positions welcome).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and network security.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with security best practices and methodologies (e.g., risk assessment, threat analysis, incident response).
- Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must have valid work authorization for Singapore or Southeast Asia.
Preferred Skills:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM.
- Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
- Knowledge of data protection laws, such as GDPR, and how they apply to security practices.
- Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks or enhance security monitoring.
