Job Description:
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring, identifying, and mitigating potential security risks to protect critical data, systems, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct continuous monitoring of internal and external security threats to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Perform regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Analyze security incidents, respond to security breaches, and implement appropriate remediation measures.
- Maintain and update security tools and software to safeguard against evolving cyber threats.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with other teams (IT, development, compliance) to identify and resolve security-related issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, new vulnerabilities, and emerging cyber threats.
- Provide security awareness training and support to internal staff.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.
- Generate and present regular reports on the status of security operations, incidents, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Cyber Security Analyst role or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, Splunk).
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight).
Working Conditions:
