Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market entry, growth, and account strategies for the China market to meet revenue, margin, and pipeline targets.

  • Identify, acquire, and manage key customers, distributors, and strategic partners in China, including negotiation of commercial terms and contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and regulatory or policy developments impacting the business in China.

  • Coordinate with product, marketing, operations, and finance teams in Singapore and the region to localise offerings and ensure seamless delivery to customers in China.

  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and business reviews for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and mitigation plans.

  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws and company policies, including sanctions, export controls, data protection, and antibribery/anticorruption requirements in China.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Master Degree in International Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, key account management, or market development, with a strong track record in the China market.

  • Proven experience working with Chinese customers, partners, or distributors, and familiarity with local business practices, negotiation styles, and commercial norms.

  • Strong proficiency in English, and business-level proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and review Chinamarket documentation language requirement is tied strictly to job needs and not used to exclude any nationality.
