Youth Worker (School)

Job Description

To support students at Woodgrove Secondary School under the Ministry of Education's

UPLIFT initiative, You will mentor at-risk adolescents to build resilience and school connectedness.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Daily Hours: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
• Shift Type: Half-day / After-school structured sessions.
• Rest Days: Weekends off (No service required on Saturdays and Sundays).
• Public Holidays: Off on all gazetted public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate UPLIFT programs: Run after-school engagement and reflection sessions.
• Provide guidance: Build positive mentoring relationships through regular interactions.
• Conduct small-group interventions: Run pull-out sessions for selected students.
• Collaborate closely: Partner with Year Heads, School Counsellors, and teachers.
• Track progress: Document attendance and student feedback metrics.

Qualification & Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or Youth Work.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year working with students-at-risk.
• Core Attribute: Calm under pressure while handling challenging situations.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with adolescents.
• Technology: Comfortable utilizing documentation software and standard body cameras.
