Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the organisation's WSH procedures to promote a safe work environment.
  • Conducts incident investigations and identifies cases of non-compliance with organisational procedures and legal WSH requirements.
  • Evaluates risks associated with the hazards identified in the workplace and reports progress of corrective and preventive actions undertaken within nominated areas.
  • Perform safety audits and inspection of work sites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
  • Identify and recommend best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the WSH team on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
  • Ensure the OHS management programme are effectively implemented and maintained.


Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in construction industry
  • Possess a valid registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO)
  • Independent with good communication skills
  • Familiar with Government Regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental
  • Relevant experience in demolition
