Job Description

The Video Editor crafts stories across a range of formats – from feature pieces and documentaries to tight social cutdowns and promos. You shape narrative, pacing and emotion in the edit, working closely with directors, producers and designers to bring ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit long-form projects (features, documentaries, specials) from rough assemblies to final master.
  • Cut short-form pieces (trailers, teasers, explainers, social cutdowns, vertical videos) that are platform-smart and attention-grabbing.
  • Work with directors and producers to refine narrative structure, pacing, and emotional beats.
  • Elevate footage through thoughtful use of sound design, temp and final music, and basic graphics where needed.
  • Collaborate with designers, animators and colourists to ensure a cohesive visual and sonic language across a show or series.
  • Prepare clean, well-organised project files and exports for archive, versioning and reuse across brands and platforms.
  • Uphold quality and technical standards for audio, colour, subtitles and aspect ratios across deliverables.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of professional editing experience (broadcast, digital media, agency or production house).
  • Strong portfolio spanning both longer-form storytelling and short-form/vertical pieces.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; familiarity with After Effects is a plus.
  • Good understanding of platform behaviours (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, OTT) and how they influence pacing, hooks and structure.
  • Strong story sense, with an eye for human moments and editorial nuance.

*This is a one year contract role.
