Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Purpose:

  • Perform and ensure routine maintenance activities are carried out as scheduled.
  • Execute OS/application upgrades and patching.
  • Attend to system or application service requests and change requests.
  • Provide resolution for all application and/or technical incidents, engaging external support if necessary.
  • Identify root cause, implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate recurring incidents.
  • Deliver incident and problem reports to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in preparing system-related documentation and support ISO audit requirements.
  • Participate in new project implementations, including requirement gathering, setup & installation, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of new projects and maintain the implemented systems.
  • Ensure all assigned maintenance and support activities meet agreed SLAs and quality standards.
  • Provide prompt technical support and troubleshooting for UNIX/LINUX platforms and associated databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Document processes, configurations, and incidents accurately.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of working experience as a System Engineer supporting UNIX/LINUX platforms and databases.
  • Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals may be considered.
  • Training or certifications in Windows Server, UNIX/LINUX, VM environments, or ITIL would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
  • Highly motivated individuals with a challenger spirit and leadership qualities are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and customer service skills are desirable.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and responsive approach to all assigned tasks, incidents, and follow-ups.
