About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled O-RAN Engineer/Manager with proven expertise in O-RAN deployment to join our advanced telecommunications engineering team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the end-to-end design, integration, and deployment of multi-vendor O-RAN solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across 4G/5G networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of O-RAN solutions (RU, DU, CU) across live and lab environments.
- Support multi-vendor interoperability testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Design and implement cloud-native and vRAN architectures, leveraging VMware ESXi, containerization, and microservices.
- Drive security compliance and zero-trust framework integration within the O-RAN environment.
- Manage lab environments for solution validation, feature testing, and interoperability checks.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to align project deliverables, provide technical consultancy, and ensure on-time deployment.
- Mentor and train junior engineers on O-RAN deployment, testing, and optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of RAN engineering experience, with hands-on O-RAN deployment expertise.
- Strong background in telecommunication networks, 4G/5G integration, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Proficiency with VMware ESXi, network automation tools, and protocol analysis (e.g., Wireshark).
- Demonstrated leadership in multi-vendor Open RAN projects across APAC/EMEA.
- Certifications in Huawei, Ericsson, or other OEM platforms are an advantage.
- Strong client-facing communication and reporting skills.
