Technical Support Engineer (BESS / Power Electronics / Renewable Energy)
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to deliver remote and on-site troubleshooting, aftersales service, and technical issue resolution for energy storage and power electronics products. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to enhance product performance and service quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for product installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported technical issues promptly and systematically
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, Quality, and Service teams to resolve escalated cases and close issues
- Prepare clear service reports, troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and technical documentation
- Share field feedback and service trends to support product improvement initiatives
- Conduct product and troubleshooting training for internal teams, partners, and customers as needed
- Track, document, and analyze recurring service issues to enhance response efficiency and customer experience
- Support service operations and field activities, including occasional site visits
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Renewable Energy, Power Engineering, Automation, or related disciplines
- 1 to 5 years of experience in technical support, field service, aftersales, troubleshooting, commissioning, or applications support
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, control systems, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and basic electrical documentation
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site technical support
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience supporting battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar systems, inverters, or related products
- Familiarity with CRM, ticketing, or service management tools
- Experience in technical training, service documentation, or customer support processes
- Mandarin speaking ability to facilitate coordination and support for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
