The Technical Delivery Manager for Platform Engineering will be responsible for driving and executing the integration and implementation of a modernized payment platform, interfacing with cross-functional systems and applications. This role involves leading technical design, development, and delivery of highly scalable, resilient, and secure integration solutions in a cloud-native environment, ensuring operational efficiency and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the core platform engineering team responsible for integrating core banking and payments technology into the enterprise ecosystem.
- Drive design, development, implementation, monitoring, automation, and security/scalability best practices for system integration solutions.
- Recommend improvements to platform architecture, integration layers, and technology stack.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (vendors, internal teams, service providers) to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and oversee implementation.
- Lead brainstorming and design reviews for resilient and extensible integration solutions using approved technology stacks.
- Own and resolve issues related to integration implementation proactively address technical risks and dependencies.
- Conduct R&D, PoC, and evaluation of new integration technologies and frameworks.
- Develop automation and self-service utilities using Java, Python, or shell scripting.
- Coordinate integration/testing efforts for bug fixes, enhancements, and customizations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including integration requirements, interface mapping, cutover strategies, and recovery plans.
- Participate in end-to-end system integration design reviews and defect triages across CIT/SIT/UAT/LT/Production.
- Ensure knowledge sharing and training on new product features.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 10-15 years of experience of technical delivery preferably within BFSI environments.
- Proven track record of leading large, complex integration programs, preferably involving vendor applications.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and cloud-native technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Apache Tomcat, Redis, RabbitMQ, Node.js, Spring, RESTful APIs.
