Technical Delivery Manager

Job Objective
The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical delivery of business solutions and new system capabilities. This role ensures that all technical deliverables are completed on schedule, meet quality standards, and align with architectural, security, and enterprise guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage technical deliverables, including enhancements, upgrades, and new capabilities, to meet project requirements within scope, schedule, and quality targets.

• Collaborate with multiple application teams to manage technical dependencies and ensure seamless solution integration.

• Monitor, assess, and mitigate risks and issues related to technical delivery.

• Provide regular status updates on all technical delivery activities.

• Work closely with System Analysts and Business Solution Specialists to gather, clarify, and finalize functional and technical requirements.

• Partner with Architects and Development Leads to ensure solution design adheres to enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and control frameworks.

• Report technical delivery progress to Program and/or Project Managers for strategic initiatives.

• Coordinate with Development Managers in managing application teams to build and deliver enhancements.

• Partner with Test Managers to ensure successful completion of SIT, UAT, performance/load testing, and application security testing.

• Manage the technical implementation plan across application teams, ensuring smooth production cutover and effective post-implementation support.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation in accordance with organizational templates, policies, and standards.

• Escalate issues impacting project timelines promptly and recommend feasible workarounds or solutions.

Key Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience delivering global or regional IT capabilities in a multinational or regional organization.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing IT delivery teams.

• Strong communication skills when engaging with technical stakeholders.

• Experience in the banking domain, Java Spring Boot, and microservices is an advantage.

• Track record of implementing large-scale, highly available systems or major technology projects.

• Hands-on systems development background, covering coding, functional and technical specifications, system development, and testing (minimum combined experience of 8 years).

• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

• Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, systems thinking, and solution-design skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Relevant professional or technical certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
