We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade IT infrastructure to ensure high levels of performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience across Windows, Linux, virtualization, automation, and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Technical Areas
Operating Systems & Virtualization
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server 2019+ and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8+
- Experienced with VMware vSphere or Nutanix hypervisors
Infrastructure & Automation
- Strong skills in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Automation experience with PowerShell and Bash/Shell
- Added advantage: Google Sheets, NFS, SMB/Windows File Share, NAS, SolarWinds, AWS, Azure
Responsibilities
1. Server & Virtualization Management
- Support, maintain, and optimize highly available Windows and RHEL server environments
- Manage and improve VMware or Nutanix virtualized infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
2. System Operations & Enhancements
- Monitor and analyze system performance across both OS platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly
- Drive continuous improvements to strengthen system stability and efficiency
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical system support
3. Documentation & Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks
- Ensure operational procedures remain clear, updated, and repeatable
4. Security & Compliance
- Apply and enforce security controls aligned with industry standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks)
- Manage GPOs, conduct vulnerability assessments, and perform system patching using tools like BigFix, yum, and dnf
5. Identity & Access Management
- Administer Active Directory, user provisioning, and access controls
- Integrate RHEL systems with AD using SSSD or equivalent solutions for centralized authentication
6. Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell / Bash)
- Streamline provisioning using Sysprep, cloud-init, and configuration management tools
7. Business Continuity & DR
- Support ongoing disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing for both Windows and RHEL platforms
- Monitor and maintain Nutanix-based DR and replication environments
8. Cloud Operations
- Support and maintain foundational AWS and Azure services, including:
- EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, FSx
- Enable seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems
9. Continuous Improvement
- Identify operational gaps and introduce automation to streamline processes
- Stay current with best practices across Windows, Linux, VMware, and Nutanix ecosystems
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix, AWS, or Azure are highly advantageous
- Proven hands-on experience supporting Windows Server and RHEL environments
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and/or Nutanix HCI
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and Certificate Services
- Strong scripting/automation skills using PowerShell and Bash
- Familiarity with NAS, SMB, and NFS file-sharing technologies
- Working knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud services
- Strong understanding of security hardening, CIS baselines, and compliance best practices
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex infrastructure issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
