Job Summary
Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, shipping, inventory planning, and warehousing for marine navigation and communication products across Asia, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement processes to source stock and consumables at competitive prices while ensuring technical compliance and timely delivery
- Evaluate and categorize vendors and suppliers to maintain an updated Approved Vendor List monthly
- Issue purchase orders accurately and maintain detailed historical purchase records
- Monitor and coordinate returns to suppliers for repair or replacement to minimize downtime
- Prepare delivery orders and shipping documents to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of spares and equipment to customers
- Verify correct part numbers on all shipping and delivery documents to prevent errors
- Oversee packing of goods to meet quality standards before customer delivery
- Track delivery schedules and shipment dates to ensure on-time customer receipt
- Assist internal departments by issuing materials promptly and accurately
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming equipment for item accuracy, quantity, and quality
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy and integrity
- Maintain comprehensive records of all items received and issued for audit and tracking purposes
- Ensure proper housekeeping, security, and organized layout of stock in the warehouse according to company policies
- Participate in the company's annual stock-take as directed by supervisors
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Experience in Marine Navigation and Communication industry (minimum 3 years preferred training provided for less experienced candidates)
- Proficiency in ERP systems for supply chain management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong negotiation and planning skills demonstrated through effective procurement and vendor management
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Forklift driving license (optional)
