Introduction:
The Supply Chain Consultant will play a key supporting role in ensuring seamless procurement and supply chain execution for marine and oil & gas projects. Working closely with the Deputy GM / Site Procurement Manager, the consultant will assist in procurement planning, supplier management, contract administration, and logistics coordination. This role is ideal for a professional with strong domain experience who can bridge operational procurement needs with project delivery requirements.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Support:
- Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies aligned with project objectives.
- Coordinate sourcing activities, including RFQs, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Contract & Compliance:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and administering supplier contracts.
- Monitor compliance with contractual terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the marine and oil & gas sectors.
- Liaise between project teams and vendors to resolve issues and ensure alignment.
- Prepare regular progress and performance reports for management review.
Logistics & Project Coordination:
- Support the coordination of logistics, shipping, and material delivery to project sites.
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, HSE) to ensure timely supply of equipment and services.
- Contribute to risk mitigation by identifying supply chain bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Or Contract Management, preferably within the Marine and Oil & Gas industries.
- Solid understanding of international procurement, incoterms, and logistics.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office ERP or supply chain management systems is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with project-based procurement in offshore/marine environments.
