Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This is a one-year contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities include processing final payments for resigned employees, managing tax clearance filings, administering government-paid leave claims and supporting month-end financial close activities. You will collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Process and administer government-paid leave claims, including:
  • Managing Government-Paid Leave applications in Workday and submitting claims through the relevant government portals.
  • Administering NS reservist leave applications and performing reconciliations against reimbursements received via NS Portal.
  • Process final salary payments for crew members in accordance with HR instructions and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage employee salary debt recoveries, liaising with external debt collection agencies to ensure timely follow-up and repayment.
  • Prepare and submit tax clearance forms for foreign employees upon cessation of employment.
  • Process CPF refund applications related to upfront sign-on bonuses, where applicable.
  • Coordinate with overseas payroll vendors to support payroll processing for international employees and ensure compliance with local requirements.
  • Support payroll operations by responding to employee payroll queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with payroll-related projects, process improvements, audits, and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and statutory regulations.
  • A team player who can work effectively with HR, Finance, Operations, and external service providers.
