We are seeking a skilled and driven Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and delivering high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and capable of maintaining consistency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth workflow
Maintain consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control
Support in menu planning, costing, and development of new dishes
Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of food safety regulations
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
