Job Summary

The Senior Chef will play a critical role in menu execution, kitchen operations, and inventory management. This position requires a strong understanding of food cost models, kitchen efficiency, and high-quality food preparation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong leadership skills, and be committed to delivering excellence in both food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Execution & Culinary Excellence
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and execution in line with the restaurant's concept.
  • Supervise kitchen stations to ensure that all dishes are prepared according to defined recipes, cooking techniques, and safety standards.
  • Conduct final quality checks on finished dishes to ensure consistency in presentation and taste.
  • Continuously explore ways to improve menu offerings and optimize kitchen workflows.
Operational & Kitchen Management
  • Organize kitchen staff based on operational needs to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee kitchen workflow and adherence to specifications, providing recommendations for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure that all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are met in accordance with regulations.
Inventory & Cost Control
  • Manage kitchen inventory levels by placing orders for ingredients and supplies based on projected demand.
  • Verify the quality of supplies delivered and maintain strict stock control to reduce wastage.
  • Understand food cost models and implement measures to maintain profitability without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Experience in menu planning, food costing, and supplier management.
  • Passion for food quality and a keen eye for detail in presentation and taste.
