Sourcing Manager - Team Lead (Electromechanics)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sourcing Manager to lead our procurement team, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. This role is key to ensuring material availability, cost optimisation, and supply chain efficiency to support our business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sourcing/procurement team to achieve company objectives on cost, quality, and delivery.
- Develop and drive strategic sourcing plans aligned with business and project requirements.
- Partner closely with Sales and Engineering teams on project quotations, BOM costing, and pricing strategies.
- Identify, develop, and qualify new suppliers and materials, especially for electrical component and mechanical parts.
- Drive localisation strategies (e.g., cables, wires, connectors, electrical component and mechanical parts) to optimise cost and lead time.
- Oversee supplier performance management, including KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead contract negotiations, cost reduction programs, and long-term supplier agreements.
- Manage escalation and resolution of supplier issues related to pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely execution.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Planning, Warehouse, QA, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory strategy and stock levels to balance availability and cost efficiency.
- Analyse market trends, supply risks, tariffs, and logistics to provide strategic sourcing insights.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring capability building and succession planning.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in electrical component and mechanical parts or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in team leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical component and mechanical parts sourcing, supplier management, and cost analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Good understanding of supply chain risks, market trends, and cost drivers.
