Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support the implementation, enhancement, and operational support of a self-hosted ServiceNow platform deployed on AWS within the Autonomous Cloud Environment (ACE). The role focuses on development, configuration, and continuous improvement of ServiceNow ITSM modules, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Service Portal while ensuring platform stability and alignment with organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Platform Development
Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow platform capabilities across ITSM modules.
Manage code promotion across environments (Dev, SIT, QA, Production) using update sets.
Resolve deployment conflicts and ensure governance and change approvals are followed.
Implement platform improvements, enhancements, and operational support activities.
Service Catalog & ITSM Development
Design and enhance Service Request (SR) catalog items and service catalog workflows.
Modify catalog forms, fields, variable sets, validations, and reference qualifiers.
Develop and maintain:
Catalog Client Scripts
UI Policies
Script Includes
Business Rules
Flow Designer workflows
Configure approval processes and fulfillment workflows including automated and manual tasks.
Implement event integrations and payload transmission through APIs and queues.
SLA & Knowledge Management
Configure and maintain SLA definitions and logic for service requests.
Develop and maintain Knowledge Base articles, governance, and user access criteria.
Support tenant onboarding processes within shared services environments.
Service Portal Development
Enhance and maintain ServiceNow Service Portal.
Implement taxonomy, tagging, and catalog categorization improvements.
Optimize portal usability and performance for multiple environments.
CMDB & CSDM Implementation
Configure CMDB components including services, service offerings, and configuration items.
Support CMDB foundation data setup and environment-specific configuration.
Ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards.
Map technical infrastructure to business services for impact analysis and service mapping.
Testing & Deployment Support
Support UAT, OSAT, and production validation activities.
Implement fixes and enhancements based on testing feedback.
Ensure smooth deployment and production readiness.
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
Maintain system documentation including:
System Design Documents
Runbooks
Playbooks
BRD / SDD documentation
Support knowledge transfer and handover to operations and support teams.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Development
Expertise in ITSM modules, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Service Portal
Experience with:
JavaScript
Business Rules
Script Includes
Client Scripts
UI Policies
Flow Designer
Experience managing update sets and deployments across environments.
Understanding of CSDM and CMDB best practices.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with APIs and external systems.
Familiarity with AWS hosted environments is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting enterprise ServiceNow platforms.
Exposure to multi-tenant environments and onboarding processes.
Experience in platform governance, release management, and operational support.
