Job Purpose:
- Design and build reliable Java applications supporting business systems in a collaborative technology team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and relational databases.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable and efficient technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues and support production systems to maintain stability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
- Follow best practices including automated testing, code quality standards and continuous integration processes.
Job Requirements:
- 7+ years experience developing backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and modern development frameworks.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures and core computer science principles.
- Experience working with relational databases, SQL optimisation and message-based integration technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices, automated testing and version control tools such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving ability with good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
