We are seeking a skilled Container Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a robust containerized infrastructure. This role is critical in enabling application teams by providing a stable,secure, and scalable platform.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Nutanix, and container technologies (e.g., Podman), and will play a key role in driving platform reliability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and maintain containerized workloads using Kubernetes
- Design, implement, and operate container infrastructure on Nutanix platforms. Administer and support Podman for container build, runtime, and lifecycle management
- Partner with application teams to support container deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Monitor and ensure high availability, performance, and security of the container platform
- Implement and support CI/CD integrations with containerized environments where applicable
- Perform system upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery for container infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and storage layers related to
- containers
- Document platform architecture, operational procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enforce container security standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and operations
- Solid knowledge of container technologies, preferably Podman (administration and runtimemanagement)
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on Nutanix (AHV, storage, and networking)
- Strong foundation in Linux system administration. Good understanding of container networking, storage, and security concepts
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and container-related issues
- Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements
Nice to Have (Advantageous)
- Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems and tools (e.g., Rancher, OpenShift, Helm, Operators)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD)
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices design
- Understanding of Kerberos authentication across Linux and Windows environments
