About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our Global Payments Engineering team. In this role, you will design and build scalable payment infrastructure that powers cross-border payment solutions across multiple markets. Working closely with regional Product, Business, and Compliance teams, you will deliver localized payment capabilities, integrate with global payment partners, and help drive our international business expansion.

What You Will Do:

1、Global Payment Platform Development

a. Design, develop, and deliver payment capabilities that support global business expansion across multiple markets.

b. Build localization solutions based on regional business and regulatory requirements, including payment methods, settlement, and compliance capabilities.

c. Continuously improve platform scalability, reliability, and engineering efficiency.

2、Regional Collaboration & Delivery

a. Work closely with regional Product, Business, and Compliance teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

b. Collaborate with overseas payment partners, banks, and financial institutions during technical integrations.

c. Drive cross-regional project delivery with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.

3、Engineering Excellence

a. Participate in architecture design, technical solution reviews, and engineering best practices.

b. Improve engineering quality through automation, observability, and AI-assisted development.

c. Continuously optimize system performance, stability, and developer productivity.

What We Expect:

1、5+ years of backend software engineering experience, preferably in payments, fintech, banking, or other financial services.

2、Strong backend engineering experience with Java and modern backend technologies, including distributed systems, microservices, Spring Boot, MySQL, Redis, MQ, and cloud-native architectures. Solid engineering fundamentals with experience building scalable, highly available backend systems.

3、Ability to independently analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality technical solutions, with a strong sense of ownership and execution.

4、Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluent spoken and written English. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and overseas stakeholders in a fast-paced, multicultural, and globally distributed environment.

Nice to Have:

1、Experience in cross-border payments, acquiring, settlement, payout, merchant platforms, or other fintech products.

2、Experience integrating with payment gateways, banks, financial institutions, or third-party service providers.

3、Familiarity with regional payment ecosystems, regulatory requirements, and localization practices across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, or other international markets.

4、Overseas working experience or experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.
