Job Description

We're looking for an experienced sales and business leader to drive growth, lead a high-performing team, and expand the presence of our client across key construction markets. This is a senior role with real ownership across revenue, people, and strategy.

The Role

Sales & Business Leadership

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximise performance and deliver against budget
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion
  • Track sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage pricing strategies and margins to optimise profitability
  • Provide regular market and competitor intelligence

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and key industry stakeholders
  • Deliver product and technical presentations to senior decision-makers
  • Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
  • Initiate and support marketing activities to strengthen brand visibility

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance guidance
  • Review sales reports and activity to ensure productivity and focus
  • Lead regular sales meetings aligned to targets, policies, and product launches
  • Oversee the Specifications team and project specification activities

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure proper documentation for warranties and joint indemnities on projects

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Business / Management
  • 12+ years experience in sales leadership within construction materials, adhesives, or related industries
  • Strong background in B2B sales, team leadership, and business development
  • Established network across architects, developers, and contractors
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and sales analytics to drive decisions
