Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the company's logistics business (freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, e-commerce fulfilment, cross-border logistics).
- Set annual sales targets, build sales pipelines, and ensure revenue and margin growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential partnerships.
2. Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with major customers, ensuring high service satisfaction and retention.
- Manage contract renewals, pricing strategies, and upselling of value-added services.
- Resolve customer issues and escalations promptly.
3. Business Development
- Drive new customer acquisition through networking, presentations, tenders, and proposals.
- Lead tender preparation, solution design, and commercial negotiations.
- Close strategic deals that align with the company's long-term goals.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs.
- Implement performance review frameworks, incentive plans, and sales training.
- Drive a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
5. Market Intelligence & Pricing
- Study market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to refine sales strategy.
- Develop pricing models and commercial frameworks to stay competitive and profitable.
- Work with operations and finance to prepare accurate costing and quotations.
6. Collaboration With Operations & Management
- Work closely with operations to ensure sales commitments can be delivered.
- Partner with finance on P&L impact, profitability analysis, and contract viability.
- Support management in strategic planning, forecasting, and business reviews.
7. Reporting & Forecasting
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance dashboards.
- Track KPIs such as revenue growth, gross margin, customer acquisition, and retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 8-12 years of sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, transportation, or 3PL/4PL environment.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strong experience in key account management, business development, and tender negotiations.
