We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for major construction projects. This role demands expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, variation management, and delivering financial control across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, budgets, and tender documents.
- Lead procurement, subcontractor evaluation, and cost negotiations.
- Oversee contract administration and manage contract terms and variations.
- Monitor and control project costs, perform value engineering, and mitigate risks.
- Conduct measurements, prepare interim valuations and progress claims, and manage final account settlements.
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and site managers, to ensure accurate reporting and cost-efficient execution.
- Provide guidance on contractual claims and facilitate dispute resolution.
- Produce regular cost reports and advise on cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of QS experience in building or civil infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, value engineering, and cost control.
- Familiarity with QS software (e.g., CostX, Cubit) and MS Office.
- Strong analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to lead, coordinate across teams, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
