Our client is from Construction industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Downtown area.
Job Responsibilities
- Take charge of project cost planning, budgeting, and monitoring to ensure financial control.
- Prepare cost analyses and provide procurement recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Track project spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets and cost plans.
- Manage the preparation and submission of progress claims, variation orders, and extension of time (EOT) requests.
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of subcontract agreements and settlement of final accounts.
- Handle and resolve contractual or commercial issues with stakeholders such as consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and present periodic financial reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow monitoring, and project expenditure updates.
- Maintain accurate documentation for contracts, procurement records, and commercial correspondences.
- Engage and liaise with relevant parties (consultants, subcontractors, and clients) on financial and contractual matters.
- Assess potential risks and provide mitigation measures for contractual and financial aspects across project stages.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Min Diploma in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Min 6 years relevant working experience in the construction sector, with exposure to large-scale projects.
- Prior involvement in projects of substantial contract value will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Glodon, Cubit) will be an advantage.
