Role Summary
The Senior Production Operator executes daily production activities while ensuring product quality and compliance with approved procedures. The role performs in-process quality checks, maintains accurate documentation, and supports consistent production standards.
The Senior Production Operator also provides guidance to operators and is responsible for identifying and escalating any deviations to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and execute daily production activities in accordance with production plans and timelines
- Operate and monitor production processes to achieve required output and quality standards
- Perform in-process quality checks and critical quality controls to ensure products meet approved specifications and process follows according to quality and standards
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom requirements, work procedures, and company policies at all times
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with GMP & Regulatory requirements
- Conduct in-process checks (e.g. visual inspection, weight, labeling, packaging) to ensure product quality and process controls to ensure product manufacture according to quality and standards.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to the Team Leader promptly
- Record inspection and production data accurately in logs and documentation accordance to GMP requirement
- Verify that correct materials, batch details, and specifications are used before and during production
- Where deviations from approved procedures or specifications are observed, highlight and escalate promptly, and refrain from proceeding until clarification is obtained
- Support and guide Production Operators to ensure consistent work standards and adherence to procedures and processes
- Assist in on-the-job training of new operators where required
- Act as a point of coordination on the ground to ensure smooth workflow and communication
- Provide cross-functional support to warehouse and logistics operations when required, to ensure smooth fulfilment and operational continuity
Requirements:
- Minimum GCE O Level education or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment with GMP standards preferred
- Able to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying items of up to 15-25 kg
- Comfortable performing tasks that require standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing / cleanroom environment
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
- The role has a 5.5-day work week arrangement
