KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and optimize high-precision motion control system for semiconductor R&D equipment.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T to ensure motion accuracy.
- Hardware component selection based on thorough understanding of product functionality, application and customer specification for optimal electromechanical performance.
- Model kinematic/dynamic behaviour (MATHLAB, Simulink, Adams) to predict motion characteristics.
- Validate designs through prototyping, motion profiling, and performance FEA testing (repeatability, backlash, hysteresis).
- Prepare BOM, schematic layout drawings, test procedure, installation manual and other design documents for design traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout engineering design process for installation, wiring, motion tuning and troubleshooting.
- Stay abreast of industry trend and technology advancements to ensure our product remains at competitive edge.
- Able to take up challenge, innovative and think out-of-box on introducing new design.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/mechatronics/electrical/electronic engineering, or related field.
- Min. 5 years of experience in electromechanical design and motion control for semiconductor equipment, including hands-on experience, Minitab, EPLAN, CAD software (CREO/AUTOCAD), and other relevant electrical software for task execution.
- Good inter-personal skills, self-motivated, team player, strong problem-solving skills and keen to explore technology and skill breakthrough.
- Good team player with other cross-functional team members to achieve project goals.
- Familiar with real-time motion controllers, rapid prototyping (3D printing), SEMI S2/S8, CE, UL, IEC standards are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of flow simulation is a plus.
