KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Day-to-day washing, drying, and folding of Residents linen including pajamas, bed sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels etc.
- Check cleaned linen for any defects - put aside for discard by Laundry Supervisor or mend them accordingly e.g., Dropped buttons from resident pajamas.
- Basic daily cleaning and maintaining of laundry machines, chemicals refill and operating of machines.
- Monitor chemical usage and refill.
- Report to management of fault or abnormality found in machines.
- Comply with Safety Linen SOPs.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness at the end of each day and report any irregularities to superior.
- Ensure cleanliness within linens store, laundry room and premises.
- Deliver clean laundry to the wards.
- Assist to liaise with laundry vendor when machine breakdown.
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Primary School Education
- Physically fit - able to carry heavy loads of 10 - 25kg.
- Able to communicate & write in simple English will be an advantage.
- On the job training will be provided.
- Computer Literacy will be an advantage.
- Ability to work individually and within a team.
- Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or a similar position in the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
